MARCELLO

BIOGRAPHIE

Marcello was born in Belgium, in 1963. He studied Advertising and Design, at the CAD in Brussels. However, he also attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Marcello is influenced by the Pop Art, but aslo the hyperrealism. The blue color obsesses him. He paints vintage and contemporary cars such as Bugatti, Cadillac, Ferrari, Porsche drowned into swimming pools or forgotten under the sea.

“My painting is realistic, even hyper-realistic, often with iconographic images of car. I put these cars in all possible states and situations. Before I start painting, I examine the variables object I am about to represent. I analyze the form of the main subject and of its given place within the painting.  Each element in the picture has been considered and then chosen for the space it occupies in relation to the other elements already in place.” Marcello. His work if part of the selection made by Marciano’s galleries.
