JEAN JACQUES GENDRON

BIOGRAPHIE

Jean-Jacques GENDRON, born in 1956, found his initial inspiration from his great-grandfather, a painter on the Île de Ré. From a young age, he reproduced master paintings, which developed his talent for detail. Although his career took a military turn, he continued to paint passionately.

He perfected his technique by copying Flemish and Dutch masters, using carnauba wax pigments to capture unique atmospheres and colors. His style is influenced by major art schools, and he excels in both oil painting and watercolor, allowing for creative spontaneity in the latter.

His personal and humanitarian experiences, such as creating the Abéché library in Chad and organizing an art sale for children affected by the war in Lebanon, deeply influenced his work.

In recent years, Gendron has focused on seascapes, capturing crashing waves with impressive realism. His paintings, full of movement and depth, have garnered admiration and great success in France. Since 1990, he has regularly exhibited in Brittany and beyond, establishing his place in the art world.
