Christel Delrieu Pétraud (b. 1976, Toulouse, France)
Christel Delrieu Pétraud is an internationally recognized French artist whose work lies at the intersection of visual art and science. With a background in fine arts, art history, and color theory, she has developed a singular artistic approach that blends mathematical logic with intuitive freedom.
Initially trained as an educator, she fully dedicated herself to her artistic practice in 2012. Since then, she has lived and worked in France, exploring fundamental themes such as identity, time, memory, and perception.
Deeply inspired by science, travel, and the study of human nature, CDP creates a unique visual language where systemic abstraction meets aesthetic sensitivity. Her collaborations with leading scientists have led to the development of a matrix-based vocabulary, bridging the microscopic and the cosmic.
Her work has been exhibited across Europe and the United States, and is included in notable collections, including the Palestinian Museum US in Connecticut.
Through a practice that is both poetic and conceptual, Christel Delrieu Pétraud invites viewers to “see the invisible,” to engage with the immaterial, and to approach art as a means of inquiry, reflection, and shared emotion.
