META

META is a self-taught artist from Auvergne whose creative path has gradually focused on a singular medium: glass. Fascinated by light, transparency, and contrast, he has developed a unique approach that consists of “sculpting” images directly into glass panels.
His work revolves around the representation of animals, a long-standing theme in his practice that takes on new depth through this delicate and luminous material. On sheets of glass, Méta forms his artworks by intentionally fracturing the surface. Each impact becomes a line, each crack a shadow or a highlight. By playing with shades of white, grey, and black, he brings animals—often endangered species—to life through the structure of the shattered glass.
His technique is built on a succession of controlled strikes: a hammer to create the main composition, and a small chisel to refine and reveal the details. Balancing tension and precision, his calibrated gestures give rise to works where light circulates, breaks, and reflects, offering a result at the crossroads of painting, sculpture, and Street Art.
